Please Note: | How to use a ratchet pruner: |
1. Allow the spring-loaded handle to open all the way. | |
2. Place the branch that is to be cut, all the way into jaw, as far back as | |
possible. | |
3. Squeeze the handles together, advancing the blade through the branch with | |
minimal effort. | |
4. As soon as you need to squeeze harder to continue advancing the blade – STOP! | |
Do not keep squeezing. | |
5. Open the pruner slightly until you hear a definite CLICK. – STOP again ! Do | |
not keep opening the blade any further. | |
6. Squeeze again; it should be easier to advance the blade further into the branch. | |
Once you need to squeeze harder again, STOP – back up until the next CLICK. | |
7. Then continue the same until the cut is complete. | |
8. Make sure the cut is complete and all material severed. Do not pull or rip | |
fibers, capillary and bark at the end of the cut. | |
