Stihl Moisture Meter

The Stihl moisture meter is super lightweight and small enough to easily fit in your pocket without taking up too much room! The digital screen is super easy to use and the wristband makes it even harder to loose. 

Why do you need a moisture meter? A moister meter helps read the moisture content (amount of water) in your wood which is important to understand before you burn it. The moisture content in greenwood can range from 40% all the way to 200% and it is important to burn wood when it is below its fiber saturation point if you want to get the most out of it. That means the moisture reading needs to be less then 25% - if not it will generate more smoke and not produce as much heat!
