2. WEAR SAFETY GEAR - When using steel blades on brushcutters it is essential to | |
wear the appropriate safety gear and clothing! A face shield, safety glasses or | |
goggles, earmuffs or earplugs, workboots, gloves and correctly fitting clothing | |
(long pants and shirt, definately no loose clothing) are the minimum required for | |
safe operation. | |
3. Safe operating zone - Keep children, animals and bystanders outside the 15 metre | |
operating / hazard zone. | |
4. Maintenance - Check the blade in between use for any cracks, or deformations, if | |
any found discard and do not re-use. Be careful not to strike solid objects during | |
use. If any solid object is accidentally struck, immediately stop and check the | |
blades for damage. | |
